The ministère des Affaires municipales, des Régions et de l’Occupation du territoire gives a grant of $37 300 from the Fonds conjoncturel de développement for the most urgent repairs.

The ministère de la Culture, des Communications et de la Condition féminine gives a grant of $29 840 from the Fonds du patrimoine culturel for the most urgent repairs.
July-August, 2012
The necessary financial package is completed. The Committee has a total budget of $116 980 to proceed with the first phase of renovations.
Intimate concerts and square dance workshops are held during the 2012 Irish Week.

Plans and technical requirements are prepared by Vachon et Roy, architectes; 5 contractors will be invited to bid.
August 26, 2012
The 2nd annual general assembly is held.
September 21, 2012
Opening of the bids with Patrick Sauvageau of Vachon et Roy, architectes and with Luc Chaput and Donna Briand from the Committee. One bid was received.

The Committee accepts the bid of Onil Dumaresq Const. of Rivière-au-Renard for an amount of $87 927.
October, 2012
The Service des travaux publics of Gaspé town decides to close Nellis street judging that the west wall of the hall might eventually fall.
October 21, 2012
The firm Roy, Roy et Connoley, surveyors, produces the plan of the lot of the Holy Name Hall.
October 22, 2012
Renovatrions begin.
October 28, 2012
The Fabrique approves by resolution that lot 5 116 106 now belongs to the Holy Name Hall Committee.
December, 2012
The Committee starts to look for more funding to continue the renovation; organizations to be contacted are the town of Gaspé, the MRC
Côte-de-Gaspé, the MAMROT and Economic developement Canada.
December 5, 2012
End of the first phase of the renovations. Gutters will be installed next Spring.

$50 000 from the MRC Côte-de-Gaspé is reserved for the future renovations.
