The Comité culturel et communautaire de Douglastown becomes the Holy Name Hall Committee and receives its new charter from the Registraire des enterprises du Québec.

A request is made to the Commission consultative de l’urbanisme of the City of Gaspé to recognize the heritage value of the hall.
February 3, 2010
The City of Gaspé confirms a participation of $3 000 for the architectural expertise.
February 18, 2010
The architectural firm, Vachon et Roy, presents an offer to do the architectural study, accepted by the Committee. A maximum of $14 000 is needed to make the architectural study.

The architectural expertise done by Vachon et Roy is completed.

$2 006 are received from the CLD Côte-de-Gaspé to pay part of the architectural study.
September 30, 2010
A request to cover 50 % of the admissible costs is sent to Heritage Canada from the Fonds des legs of Développement des communautés
par le biais des arts et du patrimoine program. The amount requested is $400 000.
November 2010
Production of a business plan in collaboration of the SADC de Gaspé.
December, 2010
Meeting with M. François Roussy, mayor, to explain the importance of the rehabilitation of the Holy Name Hall.
December 31, 2010
A New Year party is organized for the profit of the Committee.
January 11, 2011
Meeting with the directors of the Committee for Anglophone Social Action, the Community Economic Development and Employability
Committee and Vision Gaspé-Percé Now who accepted to endorse the HNH Committee request to Heritage Canada.
January 21, 2011
Meeting with M. Jean Gagnon, bishop of the Gaspé diocese, who accepted to endorse the HNH Committee request to Heritage
Canada.
February 21, 2011
The HNH Committee learns that our request at Heritage Canada has been refused; the commitment of the City of Gaspé is
judged insufficient.
